If you cannot afford a high quality Pom, you will have a difficult time providing proper vet care, high quality food and more. It is the physical and emotional health of the puppy that needs to be your first priority. People who unknowingly purchase from a backyard breeder, puppy mill, private sale or (gasp!) a breeder who markets "Teacups" will find that 2 weeks or 2 months after the sale, they have thousands of dollars in vet bills as the unhealthy or un-naturally small puppy is in need great medical care. And some puppies do not make it.
